In 2023, Punpay approached me to design their crypto wallet platform. They needed a secure, user-friendly wallet that would let users manage their crypto while integrating the company's trading services. Having previously used and designed for crypto products, I already knew the some of the common pain points users face. I looked at major platforms like Uniswap, Metamask, and Trust Wallet to analyze what worked and what didn't.
Trust Wallet's straightforward token navigation and clean transaction history really stood out. Uniswap nailed the swap interface, while Metamask made sending and receiving feel secure. The goal was to take these best elements and create something that felt familiar to crypto users, while integrating the company's trading services.
I created a component library that made both individual wallet features and company trading services feel seamless. Users could easily manage their personal transactions (like Trust Wallet's token management), while having clear access to the company's buy, sell, and swap features. Everything was designed to build trust through clarity - so users never feel uncertain about what's happening with their funds.
